First Spring Explosion! Pennsylvania Chocolate Factory Explosion!

Welcome to Spring 2023....

Terrifying moment huge explosion rips apart Pennsylvania chocolate factory - killing two, injuring eight and leaving nine missing

An explosion at a chocolate factory in Pennsylvania on Friday killed two people and left nine missing. Several other people were injured by the explosion at the R.M. Palmer Co. plant, said West Reading Borough Police Department Chief of Police Wayne Holben, who did not confirm the exact number of injured. The explosion just before 5pm was all caught on camera. Video footage saw a plume of thick, black smoke into the air, destroying one building and damaging a neighboring building that included apartments. 'It's pretty leveled,' West Reading Borough Mayor Samantha Kaag said of the explosion site. 'The building in the front, with the church and the apartments, the explosion was so big that it moved that building four feet forward.' The cause of the blast in the community about 60 miles northwest of Philadelphia was under investigation, Holden told reporters. Eight people were taken to Reading Hospital Friday evening, Tower Health spokeswoman Jessica Bezler said. Two people were admitted in fair condition and five were being treated and would be released, she said in an email. One patient was transferred to another facility, but Bezler provided no further details. Source

ANAHEIM, Calif. - A possible explosion reported at Disneyland Tuesday morning turned out to be testing for some effects used in the "World of Color" show, authorities confirmed. Around 6:30 a.m., people in the area reported seeing "sudden flashes of red and yellow." Video shared with FOX 11 show a black-shaped cloud formed the air over an illuminated rollercoaster. Crews with both the Anaheim Police Department and Fire Department responded to the report but did not locate any evidence of an explosion, authorities said. Officials later confirmed there was no explosion and rather this was from testing fire effects used during the "World of Color" nighttime spectacular show. No other information was immediately available. Source

The dad of a 14-year-old boy who was pulled from the rubble after a suspected gas explosion at a Swansea house has said he is lucky to be alive. Emergency services were called to the scene of the blast at about 11:20 GMT on Monday morning in Morriston. One man was killed and three were injured after the explosion which damaged several properties. Police said an investigation had been launched and the Health and Safety Executive had been informed. The body of the man who died was found during a search of the scene, South Wales Police said. Anthony Bennett's son Ethan was the child pulled from the rubble, along with his mother Claire, who remains in hospital with six broken ribs. He said: "[Ethan] just remembers the explosion going and him being thrown up against the ceiling. "Then next thing he knew he was coming round, he seemed to be outside or in the open air. "But apparently part of the roof was under him and half was on top of him and the guy who lived a couple of doors down, he ran across to check on Claire and then he ran up and dragged Ethan out and he carried Ethan off the roof to get him out. "They are so lucky to come out of it." Ethan and his mother were two of three people taken to hospital after the explosion, with a second adult - a postman - since being discharged. Source

'What in the world has happened to my car?': Mystery dust covers cars in Des Moines

DES MOINES, Iowa — South side residents woke up to find their cars covered in a mysterious golden dust Wednesday morning. "So when I came out of my house, my car being black, it stuck out like a sore thumb. So I naturally thought, that is weird," said Justin Torres of Des Moines. Torres is not the only one. "I walk up to my car and I was like, what in the world has happened to my car?" said Des Moines resident Tonya Snider. Snider and Torres live miles apart, but they share an unusual experience. "I have no clue what it is, but it's covered my whole car," Snider said. They both woke up to find their cars covered in an odd, spotty dust."It looks like gold dust. Exactly what a lot of people are saying," Torres said. "It looks like somebody has shaken a flower all over my car. It basically looks like little spots of pollen, and I mean, it's all over," Snider said. They are not alone. There are plenty of social media posts from Pleasant Hill, Easter Lake and Des Moines’ south side from people who found the same dust. "It didn't rain last night, and I just washed the car yesterday, I wonder what it could be?" Torres said. It turns out it did rain at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. A KCCI radar signal confirms it. We reached out to the National Weather Service and their guess is that a tiny shower could have dropped the mysterious raindrops — possibly filled with dust from Oklahoma or Kansas. It’s nothing dangerous. Maybe it’s just a reminder that it might be time for a car wash. "Other people were talking about it. So I said thank god I’m not crazy," Snider said. Source

Another Ohio Explosion: Explosion Rocks Bedford, Ohio Factory, Scattering Molten Metal; 14 Injured......

This is the third explosion for Ohio.

I wonder how many Anti-Vaxxers got hurt in the explosion?

Explosion rocks Ohio factory, scattering molten metal; 14 injured
Feb 20 (Reuters) - An explosion tore through an Ohio metals plant on Monday, scattering molten metal and debris that rained down on neighboring buildings and injuring at least 14 people, mostly with burns, officials and witnesses said. The blast sent smoke billowing into the sky that could be seen for miles around the damaged factory about 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Cleveland. The explosion at the I. Schumann & Co. metals plant in Bedford drew fire departments from throughout northeast Ohio. Oakwood Fire Department Captain Brian DiRocco addressed the media on scene, saying 13 people were taken to hospital, many of them with burn wounds, and one more was being treated on site. At least one was in critical condition, and one was pulled from the debris. All of those injured were on site, the falling debris having spared those at neighboring businesses, DiRocco said. "The people were mostly walking wounded. They were coming up to us," DiRocco said. "I'm sure there's a lot of people that work here that were in shock." DiRocco said he had inspected the site before and found it a safe place "except for the fact that it's a foundry. You are dealing with molten metal, so there's always an inherent danger." Representatives of the company, which produces copper, brass and bronze allows, could not immediately be reached for comment. The business has operated since 1917, according to its website. Matthew Wiggins, owner of the neighboring business Rose Colored Gaming, told WOIO he heard a large explosion and that "within a second or two, it sounded like large amounts of debris were hitting the roof." Panic At Paris Mall

Black Mass Murderer Anthony McRae KIlls Three Michigan State University Students And Wounded Five Others.

MSU shooter Anthony McRae claimed to be ‘leader of 20 killers,’ targeted church and schools
The Michigan State University gunman was found by police with a chilling note in which he targeted local businesses, a church and the Ewing, NJ, school district, as well as the campus where he shot eight, killing three, on Monday. Anthony McRae, 43, claimed he was “leader of a group of 20 killers” and listed the Meijer warehouse where he had recently worked among his targets because he felt “slighted,” according to police. “It appears that he had some issues with the employees there and he was asked to leave. So it looks like possibly a motive for that was he just felt slighted, that’s kinda what the note indicated,” said Lt. Rene Gonzalez of the Michigan State Police. McRae took his own life after opening fire in two MSU campus buildings. When The Post asked MSU Police Chief Chris Rozman about McRae’s motive, he described it as “a difficult question.” It appears based on the content of the note that he felt that he was slighted in some way by people or businesses. Did a mental health issue amplify that or was it a component of that? We are not sure at this point … It’s a question on all our minds,” he said. On Wednesday, McRae’s uncle described him as a “paranoid schizophrenic” — charges his father later denied, saying he had not been diagnosed with any mental health issues, although he admitted his son turned “evil” after losing his mother in 2020. Police also confirmed that despite McRae’s note claiming he led a “group of 20 killers,” investigators are confident he acted alone. “[McRae’s] father said he had no friends,” Gonzalez explained. “He pretty much sat in his room — he ate and went to the bathroom in there. He had no friends, let alone 20 of them.” McRae had two 9mm handguns on his person at the time of his death, alongside eight loaded magazines of ammunition in his backpack and a ninth loaded magazine in his breast pocket. He was also carrying two empty magazines, police confirmed. Source

Richard Dale Crum Kills 6, Including Ex-Wife, In Mississippi

Sheriff: Gunman kills 6, including ex-wife, in Mississippi

ARKABUTLA, Miss. (AP) — A lone gunman killed six people including his ex-wife and stepfather Friday at multiple locations in a tiny rural community in northern Mississippi, the sheriff said, leaving investigators searching for clues to what motivated the rampage. Armed with a shotgun and two handguns, 52-year-old Richard Dale Crum opened fire at about 11 a.m. and killed a man in the driver's seat of a pickup truck parked outside a convenience store in Arkabutla, near the Tennessee state line, Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance said. Deputies were working the crime scene when a second 911 call alerted authorities to another shooting a few miles away. After arriving at a home, they found a woman, whom the sheriff identified as Crum's ex-wife, shot dead and her current husband wounded. Lance said deputies caught up with Crum outside his own home and arrested him. Behind the residence they found two handymen slain by gunfire — one in the road, another in an SUV. Inside a neighboring home, they discovered the bodies of Crum's stepfather and his stepfather's sister. “Everybody has crime, and from time to time we have violent crime, but certainly nothing of this magnitude,” Lance said in an interview. He added: “Without being able to say what triggered this, that’s the scary part.” Crum, 52, was jailed without bond on a single charge of capital murder, and Lance said investigators were working to bring additional charges. It was not immediately known if Crum had an attorney who could speak on his behalf. That initial murder charge was for the killing of Chris Eugene Boyce, 59, the man who was shot outside the store. Boyce's brother was in the truck with him at the time and fled, according to the sheriff. Lance added that Crum chased the brother through a wooded area before he escaped unharmed. Deputy Tate County Coroner Ernie Lentz identified the others killed as Debra Crum, 60; Charles Manuel, 76; John Rorie, 59; George McCain, 73; and Lynda McCain, 78. Lentz also said Boyce was from Lakeland, Florida. Ethan Cash, who lives near the store, told WREG-TV he heard a gunshot from inside his house. “I had just woken up and I look back here, and I see dude walking back here with a shotgun,” he said. Cash added that he went to the scene and found one person who had been shot. He checked for a pulse, but found none. In the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office, Norma Washington told The Associated Press that Boyce was her nephew. She said he and the brother, Doug, who lives in Alaska, had been in town cleaning up a property they inherited from their deceased uncle. “I lost my brother, and now this one,” Washington said. “This has been something else.”

It was unclear whether Crum knew either of the brothers. The killings stunned residents of Arkabutla, home to 285 people and located about 30 miles (50 kilometers) south of Memphis, Tennessee. It's the hometown of famed actor James Earl Jones, and nearby Arkabutla Lake is a popular fishing and recreational destination. An elementary school and a high school in nearby Coldwater both went on lockdown while the suspect was being sought, according to the Coldwater Elementary School Facebook page. A short time later, a second post on the page said the lockdown had been lifted and “all students and staff are safe.” April Wade, who lives in Arkabutla and grew up in Coldwater, said both are small communities where most people know each other, “but if you don’t, you know somebody who knows somebody.” Speaking from a local tire store in the afternoon, Wade said she and her husband were aware of the shootings but had not yet heard the names of the suspect or victims. “I think it’s crazy,” Wade said. “You do not expect something like that to happen so close to home.” The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said its agents were providing assistance to the sheriff’s department and state investigators. Lance said one of their top priorities was to determine a motive. The sheriff, who has lived in the area his entire life and served in law enforcement for 25 years, said he could recall no prior problems with Crum. The U.S. has seen a deadly start to 2023, including six mass killings in a three-week period in January, according to an Associated Press/USA Today database. It defines a mass killing as four or more people dead, not including the perpetrator. There have also been a number of mass shootings in which fewer people were slain, such as Monday’s shooting at Michigan State University in which three people were killed and five were wounded. In a statement, President Joe Biden said he and first lady Jill Biden were mourning the six victims and praying for the survivors. He urged Congress to act now on gun law reforms to address what he called “an epidemic” of gun violence. Source

There are no Domestic Terrorists in San Francisco.....

Explosion, fire destroys home in San Francisco Sunset District; 2 injured, homes evacuated
SAN FRANCISCO -- A huge fire preceded by a large explosion destroyed a home in San Francisco's Sunset District Thursday morning, leaving two people including a firefighter injured and prompting the evacuation of surrounding homes. The fire burned a house on the 1700 block of Noriega Street near 22nd Avenue and was initially reported at around 9:30 a.m. San Francisco Fire Captain Jonathan Baxter later told KPIX that fire dispatch received multiple calls at about 9:22 a.m. reporting an explosion at a home on the block. The San Francisco Fire Department said the fire was upgraded to three alarms and that two adjacent houses were also affected. A photo tweeted out by the SFFF Local 798 Union showed the residence fully engulfed in flames. In a later photo tweeted out by the firefighters' union, the single-family home appeared completely destroyed with the roof and upper floor collapsed onto the lower garage area.Baxter told KPIX that one person was found outside the home in serious condition after suffering burns and injuries. They were transported to a local hospital. He said windows in houses across the street had been shattered, "indicative of an explosion." A later update also confirmed that a firefighter suffered minor injuries during the incident but would be OK. Source

Nineteenth Winter Explosion: Billings, Montana Explosion In The Sky

'Explosion in the sky' above Billings Montana where Chinese spy balloon was spotted infiltrating U.S airspace - as residents report seeing jet zoom by after officials came under fire for refusing to shoot it down
An explosion in the sky over Billings Montana, where a Chinese spy balloon has been flying over the region, was caught on camera Friday. Mysterious video of the aftermath shows a trail of smoke in the sky where the balloon was last spotted. Dolly Moore, who took video of the scene, said she 'saw a jet go by so fast and then explosion in the sky.' As the video spread on social media, Defense officials have said the balloon over Montana has not exploded. It comes after the US State Department called the balloon, which was traveling over U.S. airspace at 60,000 feet, a 'clear violation' of U.S. sovereignty, but said it wouldn't be shot down because it was flying over a 'number of sensitive sites.' US officials had said that the balloon is large enough that destroying it would rain down debris, risking the safety of people on the ground. Analysts said the balloon is about the size of 'three buses' and could be fitted with high-tech equipment including cameras, sensors and radar. F-22 fight jets were mobilized to track the device as it hovered over Montana, which borders Canada, on Wednesday. A US defense official said it entered US airspace 'a couple days ago' but its exact location was not shared. Montana Senator Steve Daines, however, warned that the balloon might have been targeting his state's nuclear missile fields. 'Montana plays a vital national security role by housing nuclear missile silos at Malmstrom AFB,' Daines wrote to the Department of Defense. 'Given the increased hostility and destabilization around the globe aimed at the United States and our allies, I am alarmed by the fact that this spy balloon was able to infiltrate the airspace of our country and Montana.' Muslim Terror Attack At Jerusalem Synagogue Seven Dead

At least seven dead in Jerusalem synagogue attack, Israeli police say
CNN — Tensions in Israel and the Palestinian territories remain high after Friday’s shooting, which police chief Yaakov Shabtai described as “one of the worst terror attacks in the past few years.” The shooter in that attack was also later killed by police forces, according to police. Two people were wounded in a separate shooting attack on Saturday in the City of David area of Jerusalem, according to police and ambulance services. The victims, one in his 20s and another in his 40s or 50s, were taken to the trauma unit of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, the hospital said. In a statement the police said, “The shooting suspect was neutralized” after a “large police force was called to the scene.” The incident is being treated as a suspected terror attack, according to a preliminary report issued by Jerusalem police. Friday’s shooter was also later killed by police forces, according to police, in what police chief Yaakov Shabtai described as “one of the worst terror attacks in the past few years.” “As a result of the shooting attack, the death of 7 civilians was determined and 3 others were injured with additional degrees of injury,” police said. Five of the shooting victims were pronounced dead at the scene, Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency rescue service said: four men and a woman. Five people were transported to hospitals, where another man and woman were declared dead. Among the wounded is a 15-year-old boy, the MDA said. Among the wounded is a 15-year-old boy, the MDA said. The attack occurred around 8:15 p.m. local time on Friday, near a synagogue on Neve Yaakov Street, according to a police statement. Eighteenth Winter Explosion: Ammunition Factory In Esfahan, Iran

Iran Says 'Small Drones' Attacked Its Military Site
Reports and videos from Iran speak of multiple explosions and a fire at an ammunition factory in the Iranian city of Esfahan shortly after midnight local time. Following multiple reports by eyewitnesses after midnight, January 29, that an ammunition factory in Esfahan was hit by explosions and fire, Iran's defense ministry announced that small drones attacked the complex, and called the attack “unsuccessful.” It claimed all the drones were shot down, without saying if the attack came from inside the country or from outside.Small drones have a very short flying time and if these were used against the ammunition factory, they must have been launched from a close distance. That does not necessarily eliminate the possibility of a foreign country being behind the attack, but it would certainly prove some people in Iran carried it out.

"The explosion took place in one of the munitions manufacturing centers of the Defense Ministry and, according to an announcement by the deputy Esfahan governor for security, there were no casualties," IRIB reported. However, eyewitnesses report and videos show the actual explosions at the factory. Some Twitter users say that the Esfahan factory was manufacturing warheads for the Shahed kamikaze drone that Iran is supplying Russia for attacks in Ukraine. The official, Mohammad Reza Jannesar, later told state television: "The damages are being investigated as well as the causes and elements that caused this explosion and .. will be announced later." According to some reports air defenses of Iran's traditional army and the IRGC have been put on high alert. There were also reports on social media of explosions and smoke in northwest of the capital Tehran. These reports have not been verified. Also, a large blaze engulfed an industrial area near the city of Tabriz, northwest Iran. The government said the fire started at a refinery producing motor oil, but the cause of the devastating blaze remains unclear. A social media post by a group of protesters in the southwestern Khuzestan province reports an explosion in Dezful. Another report says there were air raid sirens in Hamedan’s Nozheh airbase, but these remained unverified, similar to reports from Tehran and elesewhere. Source

Muslim Terrorist Goes On A Stabbing Rampage At Two Catholic Churches In Spain Killing A Sacristan, Wounding A Priest And Several Parishioners

At least one dead, several injured in machete attack at southern Spain churches

MADRID, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Spanish authorities said they were investigating what they called a possible "terrorist" incident after a machete-wielding man attacked several people at two churches in the southern port city of Algeciras, killing at least one person. The man attacked clergymen at two different churches - San Isidro and Nuestra Senora de La Palma, around 300 metres (1,000 feet) apart - just after 8pm on Wednesday evening in downtown Algeciras, a spokesperson for the city said. A source at Madrid's High Court said the incident was being investigated as terrorism. Police said the attacker had been arrested, and a police source shared footage showing two officers escorting a man in a hooded sports top in handcuffs through a police station.

Police have not released details of his name or nationality. Local media, including El Pais newspaper, said he was a 25-year-old Moroccan. The man who was killed was Diego Valencia, a sacristan at the Nuestra Senora de La Palma church, while the titular priest of the parish church of San Isidro, Antonio Rodriguez, was among the injured and is in serious condition, the Algeciras city spokesperson said. An unknown number of others were also injured. El Mundo newspaper reported that four people were hurt in the attack. Police said the suspect first entered the San Isidro church and attacked Rodriguez. A statement by the Algeciras Salesians said Rodriguez, 74, had been celebrating Eucharist when he was attacked. The assailant then went into the Nuestra Senora de La Palma church where he damaged property before attacking Valencia, who fled the church but was chased by the suspect, who inflicted further, fatal injuries on him outside, police said in a statement. Muslim Goes On A Stabbing Rampage Killing Two And Wounding Seven On A Train In Brokstedt, Germany

German officials say knifeman who stabbed two people to death and wounded seven others in brutal train rampage is a stateless Palestinian

At least two people have been killed and seven more injured in a stabbing rampage on a train in Germany today. The attacker sparked chaos as he lunged at horrified passengers on board the train from Kiel to Hamburg shortly before 3pm, sending commuters screaming down the carriages as they tried to escape his onslaught. The bloodbath came to an end when the suspect, a 33-year-old stateless Palestinian man according to officials, was tackled by cops and arrested on a station platform in the town of Brokstedt. A police spokesman said the investigation into a motive was focused on 'all directions' including possible extremism or psychological problems on the part of the assailant. Three of the seven injured passengers are in a serious condition following the attack condemned as a 'horrible act against all humanity' by regional interior minister Sabine Suetterlin-Waack.  Source

California Has THREE Elderly Asian Mass Shooters Within A Year: David Chou, 68; Huu Can Tran, 72; Zhao Chunli, 67

  1. David Chou, 68, Orange County Church Mass Shooter
  2. Huu Can Tran, 72, Monterey Mass Shooter
  3. Zhao Chunli, 67, Half Moon Bay Mass Shooter
'Workplace dispute drove agricultural laborer to shoot seven SEVEN Chinese farm workers' in the San Francisco Bay area - less than 48 hours after Monterey Park shooting near Los Angeles claimed 11 lives

A 67-year-old veteran farm worker has killed seven fellow Chinese agricultural laborers in what local news described as a workplace dispute. Zhao Chunli, who lived in Half Moon Bay, was arrested and is 'fully cooperating' with law enforcement, officials said. The shootings took place at two separate locations in Half Moon Bay, with four shot at a farm ran by Concord Farms, and three at Mountain Mushroom Farms two miles away. Officials are unsure which was attacked first. Children were present on the scene at the time, because some of the workers lived on-site with their families. An eighth person was shot and injured, and airlifted to Stanford Medical Center. ABC7 News confirmed that the suspect, who lived in Pescadero, had worked for decades at one of the mushroom farms where the shooting took place, and all victims were co-workers. Dramatic footage from ABC News shows the moment Zhao was taken into custody, in the parking lot of the Half Moon sheriff's office, at 4:40pm. His maroon Lexus SUV had been spotted leaving the scene, and was then seen at the sheriff's office. A weapon was found in his vehicle: Zhao is believed to have acted alone, and is cooperating with law enforcement. The killings come less than 48 hours after 72-year-old Huu Can Tran shot and killed 11 people celebrating Lunar New Year in Monterey Park, near Los Angeles. Sheriff Christina Corpus of San Mateo County said: 'This kind of shooting is horrific. 'It's a tragedy we hear about too often, but today it has hit home to Half Moon Bay.' Source

Huu Can Tran, 72, Is The Monterey Mass Shooter

'He intended to kill more': Monterey mass shooter slaughtered 10 with magazine-fed semi-automatic pistol and wanted to continue murder spree before two heroes disarmed him: Huu Can Tran, 72, took his life with handgun during police standoff

The gunman who slaughtered 10 people during Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations in Monterey, California was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the van he used to flee after his attempt at a second shooting that was thwarted by 'hero' patrons. Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna identified the mass shooter as 72-year-old Huu Can Tran. He said the motive for the attack is still unclear. 'He intended to kill more people,' Luna said in a news conference on Sunday night. 'They saved lives,' he said of the patrons. 'This could've been much worse.'

Ten people were shot and killed at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio in Monterey Park, where sources told CNN that Tran was once a 'regular patron.' The exact ages of the victims were not released, but Luna said they all appeared to be over 50. Seven of the wounded people remained in the hospital, he added. Tran was carrying what was described as a semi-automatic pistol with an extended magazine, and a second handgun was discovered in the van where he was found dead, Luna added. Earlier Sunday, law enforcement officials swarmed and entered the van after surrounding it for hours. They heard a gunshot and approached the van to find Tran's body slumped over the steering wheel. Family Van

Jealous Husband shot up the Dance club where wife was dancing....

The Saturday night Lunar New Year massacre in Monterey Park, California that left 10 dead and another 10 injured, may have been the result of a domestic dispute between a husband and wife. Local resident and leader of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles, Chester Chong, told a local ABC7 outlet that he believes the massacre was not a hate crime, but rather an instance of domestic unrest taken to the extreme. He said he believes the shooting was caused because of hatred between a 'wife and husband,' and that it was a 'personal case' taken to horrific ends. On Sunday morning, law enforcement in California said the suspect who shot up the Star Ballroom dance club has been described as an 'Asian man,' and that it remains unclear if the suspect is linked to another shooting two miles down the road. LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man going through a contentious divorce was caught on camera on a smash-up rampage, crashing a dump truck into his estranged wife's home in South Los Angeles and slamming into parked cars on the street. Patricia Dunn told Eyewitness News the man in the video is her husband. They are going through a divorce, and she says she fears for her life. "A man under that kind of rage - who's to say what he might do?" she said. "He was trying to kill me. He really was." She said the area of the house he struck with his car was her bedroom. The incident happened Sunday afternoon in the area of 107th Street and Normandie Avenue, in South LA's Westmont neighborhood. Patricia says her husband drove by the home three times. First he came by in a Chevy Impala and crashed into the home while she was inside. He returned in a dump truck and did more damage, then came back in the Impala again. The home's metal fence is bent to the ground and there are large dents in the exterior of the home right outside her bedroom. "I was just trying to stay out of the way," she said. "So I don't know if he was drunk or under the influence. I never experienced anything like this in my life." Neighbor Journey Meggerson caught the rampage on camera and her family tried to comfort Patricia. "That was honestly the craziest thing I have ever seen," Meggerson said. "I can't even believe." Kohberger Left The Knife Sheath At The Scene So He Could Get Caught?

Did Idaho 'killer' leave knife sheath at scene on PURPOSE? Expert suggests suspect Bryan Kohberger abandoned blade case in 'remarkably clever move' that could be used to prove innocence

The Idaho quadruple murder suspect may have left a knife sheath at the crime scene as part of a 'remarkably clever move' to get off the hook, a criminologist suggested. David Wilson, a professor at Birmingham City University in the UK, pushed the idea that accused Bryan Kohberger was too smart to leave the evidence behind. He hinted it could have been part of an elaborate plan to ensure he was not convicted, but did not go into specific details why he believed this.It has been speculated that Kohberger could potentially use the knife as a red herring to benefit from double jeopardy laws, which prevent a suspect from being charged with the same crime twice. The DNA found on the sheath was initially tested against Kohberger's father's DNA, which led investigators to the PhD student. Wilson suggested it could have been transferred on to the cover and that may be an argument made by the suspect's defense team. If that argument succeeds and the key plank of evidence fails, resulting in an innocent verdict, Kohberger would likely not be charged again. He told ITV's This Morning: 'Would a highly-skilled, intelligent student who is teaching criminology, a Ph.D. student, have made such a basic error?' The criminologist was responding to host Phillip Schofield who called the abandoning of the knife sheath a 'remarkably clumsy move.' Wilson said: 'One of the things that's really struck me about the person that's been arrested and accused of this is he is intelligent and high-functioning.' He also argued DNA can be transferred from person to person and said he believes the defense may bring that up at trial. 'I could have your DNA,' Wilson said, speaking to This Morning's Holly Willoughby. 'Your DNA is on me. I could go wherever I wanted to go in the next hour and your DNA would be where I go to,' he continued. 'So the defense is clearly going to present issues that will suggest that Kohberger is innocent,' the criminologist offered.  Source
