Two people have been shot dead and four more injured in a shooting at a New Mexico library on Monday, officials said.
The shooting happened at the Clovis-Carver library in Clovis, New Mexico.
Clovis Fire Chief Michael Nolen confirmed that two people had died and four were hospitalized. He also said that one person was arrested in the incident.
Police surrounded the library several minutes after 4pm Monday, the Curry County Sheriff's Office confirmedPolice spokesperson Captain Roman Romero confirmed around 4.40pm that multiple people were killed and injured in the shooting, but did not provide more details.
Officers were seen escorting an unidentified man in handcuffs into a police cruiser. It has not been confirmed whether or not the man is the suspected shooter.
However, interim Clovis City Manager Tom Phelps told the Amarillo Globe-News that 'it's my understanding they captured the shooter without incident'. Daily Mail >>>>>>>
