Upper Basildon fire: Man in 'serious condition' after 'explosion' 

A MAN has been taken to hospital and is in a 'serious condition' following a 'suspected explosion' in Upper Basildon. The incident caused a fire at a residential property in Aldworth Road, Upper Basildon, last night (July 9). Thames Valley Police were called to the scene at 10.42pm. A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "This was a suspected explosion which caused a fire at a residential property in Aldworth Road, Upper Basildon, to which we were called at 10.42pm. "It is not believed to be suspicious."A man has been taken to hospital and is in a serious condition." Mortimer Fire Station crews were also called to the scene. Source
