REVEALED: Unlicensed driver charged over death of boy, 12, in horror crash was serving community sentence despite conviction for assaulting police, carrying weapons in public, and drug driving
A driver charged over the death of a schoolboy had been serving a community sentence before he allegedly ran down the student.
Rabieh Abdul Rahman, 36, allegedly lost control of his car and hit a 12-year-old boy outside Hurstville Public School in Sydney's south on Friday morning.
Abdul Rahman has been charged with manslaughter, dangerous driving causing death and driving unlicensed.
He made a brief appearance before Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday morning, wearing the same black hoodie and red t-shirt he was arrested in on Friday.
He sat quietly, answering only ‘yes that’s correct’ when asked to confirm his name. Source
