RUSSIA DOOM! FOURTEEN RUSSIAN Sailors DIE In FIRE On Board Nuclear Submarine!


MOSCOW, July 2. /TASS/. Fourteen submariners died in a fire that broke out in a submersible vehicle in Russian waters on July 1, the Defense Ministry said in a statement released on Tuesday.

"On July 1, fourteen submariners - sailors died in Russian territorial waters as a result of inhaling combustion products aboard a research submersible vehicle designated for studying the seafloor and the bottom of the World Ocean in the interests of the Russian Navy after a fire broke out during bathymetric measurements," the statement says.

The fire was extinguished "thanks to the self-sacrificing actions of the team," the statement says.

The submersible is currently staying at the Severomorsk naval base.

"The causes of the incident are being investigated. The Navy’s commander-in-chief is carrying out the investigation," the statement says. Source

The Department of Public Safety said a driver sped 11 miles in the wrong direction before hitting a car head-on. The crash happened right in front of a traffic camera. The vehicle going the wrong way is at the top of the screen. The camera shows the other vehicle’s brake lights come on moments before impact. The crash in Richardson killed both the wrong-way driver and the driver of the vehicle hit. The driver of the Honda Civic from the crash has been identified as Katherine S. Long, 22, from Frisco. The driver of the Ford Taurus has been identified as Joseph M. Wallace, 53, from Rockwall.The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but video showed Long made a U-turn on the westbound side of the PGBT at Midway Road and began traveling the wrong way.
